Peer Support Circles

A free, confidential peer group for solopreneurs, freelancers, and solo founders.

Why our mfi peer support Circles Exist

Most founders don't have a team to check in with, a manager to flag when they're overloaded, or a coworker to test an idea on. When you work alone, especially from home, the stress of running a business has nowhere to go.

Research suggests that nearly half of entrepreneurs experience mental health challenges. Traditional business resources teach pricing, marketing, and operations. Almost none address US, the people behind it, and what it feels like to carry all of it by ourselves.

Our Mindful Founders Inc. (MFI) Scale & Peer Support Circles are a standing place to bring that weight, every other week, to people who get it.

What peer circles help us do

Share wins and challenges with people who understand solo work

1

Get honest feedback on a project, offer, or decision

2

Talk through roadblocks before they turn into burnout

3

Find and build accountability for the goals you set

4

Feel less isolated and more connected to other founders

5

What you'll find here

  • Honest listening. No fixing, no judgment, no selling. Just people who have been where you are.

  • Practical feedback. Bring a real problem: a pricing question, a client situation, a decision you keep putting off. Leave with ideas from people doing the work.

  • Accountability. Name what you'll do before the next circle, and come back and share how it went.

  • Connection to resources. When something is bigger than a peer group can handle, we can point you to resources that can help.

Community guidelines

What's said here stays here. Share your own takeaways, not other people's stories.

1

No pitching or selling. This is a support space, not a networking event.

2

Speak from your own experience. Offer perspective, not prescriptions.

3

Make room. Everyone gets a chance to talk.

4

Our Scale & Peer Support Circles are peer support, not therapy, counseling, or medical care. Facilitators are fellow founders and not licensed clinicians. We don't diagnose, and we don't recommend specific treatments. If you need professional support, we are happy to help you find it.

How to join

  1. Register using the link here: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/2LtcvkWARx-dTQFrKu4UHw#/registration. It takes less than a minute.

  2. Watch for approval. We review each registration to keep the circle a safe, founder-only space.

  3. Get your personal link. Once approved, Zoom emails you a join link. It's tied to you, so please don't share it. Friends register on their own.

You can also find us and RSVP on Meetup: https://www.meetup.com/mindful-founders-inc/

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Our peer support circles are free and always will be.

1

Is it really free?

No. Plenty of people listen for a session or two before sharing.

2

Do I have to talk?

Do I need to have an LLC or be making a certain amount?

3

No. If you're running a business, side business, freelance, or love someone who runs a business, you are welcome.

Do I have to come every time?

4

No. Come when you can. Regular attendance is where the accountability and relationships build, though.

I'm not in Colorado. Can I join?

5

Yes! Although our small nonprofit is strategically growing in the Denver-Boulder, Colorado corridor, our Executive Director has also lived in: Illinois, Arizona, California, and Florida, and welcomes newcomers from these states as well as other US states. If you are outside of the United States, email us at info@mindfulfounders.org first.

Why do I have to register and wait for approval?

6

To keep the circle a confidential, founder-only space and keep out spam and sales pitches.

What if I'm in crisis?

7

The circle is not a crisis service. If you're in crisis or having thoughts of suicide, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.
