After I became a full-time entrepreneur in 2022, I discovered something new and critical: the more self-aware I was, the stronger I become - both personally and professionally (and my company depended on it!). Unlike those who work in 9-5 jobs, us entrepreneurs do not have the luxury of being passive bystanders. The stakes are higher, the pace is quicker, and the need for growth is constant. To thrive in this world, we need to get uncomfortable and push ourselves to improve and evolve constantly.
We can't grow if we don't know where to focus. Self-awareness is a foundation of personal and professional development. And one of the best ways to kickstart this journey is through self-reflection—especially in the form of online quizzes. They help us identify our strengths, uncover blind spots, and provide actionable insights for improvement. Here are some reasons to start with self-awareness:
Identify our strengths and weaknesses so we can focus on areas that need improvement.
Make better decisions by understanding our natural preferences and tendencies.
Build resilience by recognizing and managing emotional triggers and negative thought patterns.
Enhance relationships by understanding others' personalities and how to communicate with them effectively.
Taking time to assess where you stand in terms of personality, mindset, and emotional intelligence can be transformative. As we enter this new year, I encourage you to use these quizzes as tools to gain clarity, grow personally, and elevate your business.
Try these quizzes. These have been game-changers for me, and I hope they help you as much as they’ve helped me!
1. 16 Personalities (based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator)
If you’ve never taken the 16 Personalities test, you’re in for a treat! This free quiz, which is based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), offers deep insights into your personality traits. It gives you a four-letter acronym (such as INTJ, ENFP, etc.) that corresponds to your unique cognitive preferences, communication style, and decision-making tendencies.
Why it's great for entrepreneurs: As entrepreneurs, we need to understand ourselves to work effectively with others, delegate tasks, and lead with confidence. Knowing your personality type helps you better understand your natural strengths and how to maximize them. For example, if you’re an extrovert, you might find energy from collaborating and brainstorming with others. On the other hand, if you’re introverted, you might need quiet time to recharge and focus.
I love how the 16 Personalities quiz also includes tips for personal growth based on your type - so you don’t just get a static result but actionable strategies to improve your weaknesses and build on your strengths.

One of the biggest hurdles in entrepreneurship is overcoming our own mental roadblocks. Negative self-talk, fear, and limiting beliefs can all hinder our progress. The Positive Intelligence quiz, specifically the Saboteurs assessment, helps you identify the inner voices and patterns that are holding you back.
This quiz measures your Saboteurs, which are self-sabotaging tendencies like the Judge, the Victim, the Controller, or the Pleaser. Once you know which Saboteur is most active in your life, you can start working on quieting it and replacing it with more positive, constructive mental habits.
Why it's great for entrepreneurs: As entrepreneurs, we often face high levels of stress, uncertainty, and self-doubt. The Saboteurs quiz provides profound insights into how your mindset might be working against you. By understanding which internal narratives drive your actions, you can learn to reframe them, build a more positive mental environment, and unlock your full potential.

Entrepreneurship isn't just about technical know-how or hustle—it's also about emotional intelligence (EI). Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize and manage your emotions, as well as the emotions of others. It's crucial for navigating challenges, building relationships, and staying resilient through tough times.
The SkillsYouNeed Emotional Intelligence quiz helps you assess your EI across five core areas: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. It gives you a snapshot of where you stand and areas that might need attention.
Why it's great for entrepreneurs: Strong emotional intelligence helps you make better decisions, manage stress more effectively, and lead with empathy and understanding—qualities that are essential for both personal growth and business success. As an entrepreneur, learning to read and respond to the emotional dynamics of a situation can make a huge difference in your leadership and in the quality of your relationships with clients, partners, and employees.
